What is the American Missionary Experience?

The American Missionary Experience (AME) is a one-year program (with potential to extend to two years) designed to help young adults prayerfully explore a call to missions by serving alongside established missionaries across the United States.

2026 marks the first year of AME and is intentionally being launched as a pilot season—a time for learning, testing, refining, and discerning how this model might best serve both our missionaries and build an on-ramp to American missions for the next generation.

Scope of AME

Leading this experience will be InFaith missionary Intern Caleb Tabbeo. Over the next year, Caleb plans to travel extensively to visit and serve alongside InFaith missionaries and partner with other ministries across the country. We hope to connect him with more than 50 missionaries in over 30 states, sharing the Gospel, learning from their ministries, and helping tell the story of what God is doing in local communities.

While on the field, Caleb will: 

• Share the gospel 
• Serve alongside missionaries in their day-to-day ministry 
• Support local outreach efforts 
• Conduct interviews and gather testimonies 
• Document stories through writing, video, and social media 
• Highlight ministries that sometimes go unseen or unheard

His work will focus especially on helping us build a framework that encourages younger believers who are sensing a call to ministry but don’t yet know where or how to begin.
