Ben and Sarah Bobeda serve in Polk and Marion Counties, outside of Salem, Oregon. The local communities of Monmouth, Independence, and Falls City host one of the lowest percentages of residents who attend church in the nation. There is a desperate need for the turth of the gospel to be shared with these residents, especially the teens and young adults in the area.
After seeing the need in their community, the Bobedas began reaching youth and young adults in the area through a number of different ministries.
The Bobedas minister to more than 400 students from the Central School District weekly through The Gate, an after-school program where students play games and build relationships with adult volunteers who care about their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Ben also leads middle school and high school youth groups for teens that focuses on Bible study, discipleship, and spiritual growth.
Alongside other InFaith field staff, Ben and Sarah help organize leadership trainings, youth retreats, and Camp of the Risen Son, a traditional Bible camp that hosts nearly three hundred campers a year.
The Bobedas have served as InFaith field staff since 2004.
Ben grew up attending Bridgeport Community Chapel, a small rural church that started as an InFaith Sunday School. In the summer, he spent time at Camp of the Risen Son, a Bible camp run by InFaith missionaries. After getting married, Ben and Sarah volunteered yearly at the camp before joining InFaith in 2004 as missionaries to local youth on the Salem, Oregon field. Currently, they minister in a small rural community during the school year and co-direct Camp of the Risen Son with InFaith's Steve and Kay Dixon.

Donate to the Scholarship fund for Camp of the Risen Son to help campers who would otherwise not be able to afford camp. Campers who receive financial assistance are encouraged to do a service project for someone in need.
Donate to Camp of the Risen Son's general fund to help this camp ministry. Providing a donation today could help a child or adult who would never have known Jesus to have the time away to reflect, join a group, or hear truth spoken. Your generosity will help keep this vital ministry reaching local and changing lives.
