Karen and I had the privilege of spending some time in Pennsylvania this Thanksgiving. We had an opportunity to share in a church that we had history with. When I was in fourth grade, I was at a camp in which a pastor (Bob Gerhart – retired AMF missionary Jim Gerhart’s brother) led me to the Lord. Karen also sat under this man for years as the pastor of her church; she was guided to a good Christian college by Pastor Bob. So, this year, I was at the church of the man who led me to the Lord.

When we got to the church, we found out they have a new young pastor there to replace Pastor Bob, who was retiring. When I met the young new pastor, he asked me if I remembered him. I was not sure if I remembered him, but here he was a camper at a camp where I was a director and Bible teacher. The Lord apparently used me in a special way to strengthen him and guide him closer to Himself. Now this young man is a pastor in a church where the man who led me to the Lord was a pastor. Wow – what a full circle!
