Ephesians 5:1-2 says this: “Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God” (NIV).

Live a life of love. Man, that’s hard when things aren’t going your way and people might not be very respectful and kind as they try to get through the busyness of the Christmas season.

Love is a great antidote to a lot of the things that burden our culture. It’s not only an antidote for dislike, hatred, and all those things, but it’s also an antidote for those who feel isolated.

The generous, kind, loving people that Christ wants us to be are so counter-cultural to what our world is right now that our way of life becomes very attractive and desirable. It is my prayer that this coming year we all live a life of love.
