God said, “go to the remotest part of the earth,” and that’s exactly what Scott and Gina Menez did. They live among 100 other residents in Jordan Valley, Oregon, a once thriving Native American community with lush lands for hunting and agriculture. Today, the residents of Jordan Valley still thrive on these prime agricultural lands, yet the population numbers rise and fall.
In recent years, Jordan Valley has lacked in religious community. There wasn’t a sound biblical doctrine being locally, so locals had to drive to neighboring cities to receive the Word. With mostly farmers and elderly residents, there was a need for understanding the unique lifestyles that come with these communities. That’s where Scott and Gina come in. Scott understands these people’s way of life, their wants and needs. He fulfilled a need in the Jordan Valley community to be fed through the bible.
