Rohnert Park is a suburban community in Sonoma County located between Santa Rosa and Petaluma. While the city was intentionally designed around community living and family life, the high cost of living in the area creates significant challenges for many families. With living expenses estimated well above the national average, many households require both parents to work full-time, leaving students without consistent support or guidance throughout much of the day.
Many of the students Jarrod ministers to come from low to low-middle income homes and have little to no church background. Some have never attended church or had meaningful exposure to Christianity. Through the student center, Jarrod and his team seek to provide students with a safe and welcoming environment where they can build relationships, find encouragement, and hear the Gospel.
A major focus of the ministry is mentorship and discipleship. The student center exists not only as a place for students to gather safely after school, but also as a place where young adults can be trained, discipled, and equipped for future ministry opportunities. By investing in students and developing leaders, the ministry aims to create lasting Gospel impact throughout the community.
Jarrod and his wife, Hannah, met while attending Calvary Bible Institute, where they both graduated. They were married in January 2021 and have a son named Shepherd, with a daughter on the way. Together, they are passionate about reaching the next generation with the hope of Jesus Christ and helping young people grow in their faith.
