Paul and Micah Craig serve primarily in Newberry Springs, a rural community on the California Desert Field in southern California. The region features small high-desert towns where many churches rely on bi-vocational pastors. A significant number of residents do not attend church, and numerous congregations lack robust children’s programs and youth ministries.
Across California’s High Desert, there remains a pressing need for faithful, biblically grounded preaching. Local children and teens urgently need to encounter the genuine love of Jesus, rather than seeking to fill the emptiness in their lives with temporary pleasures or material pursuits. Equipping strong Christian mentors to share the life-transforming gospel with these young people is essential.
Moved by these needs in their own community, the Craigs began reaching local children and teens through various outreach efforts. During the school year, they lead mid-week youth gatherings for teens and children. In summer, their ministry expands to include two weeks of camp at Joy Bible Camp and Eastern Sierra Bible Camp, and four to six weeks of Vacation Bible School. Throughout the year, Paul and Micah also help facilitate five weekend retreats, youth winter camps, a discipleship retreat, and men’s and women’s retreats.
“We strive to partner with as many communities as possible so that youth leaders across our field feel encouraged and the good news of salvation reaches those who need to hear it,” Paul shares. “My constant aim is to reflect Christ to these students in a way that draws them to place their trust in Jesus.”
The Craigs have served as InFaith field staff since 2005.
Paul’s father, Larry, and his mother, Lisa, served faithfully with InFaith for over forty years. Paul grew up immersed in mission work, assisting his parents from a young age. With extensive training, years of hands-on experience, and a deep sense of God’s calling, Paul and Micah—along with their three young children—continue this legacy of service in southern California. Though Larry has now passed on, Lisa carries forward the family’s commitment, serving alongside them in the High Desert and southern Nevada. The entire family’s ministry is sustained through the generous support of partnering churches and individual donors.
