Pat and Don Teeter travel to various towns throughout north Iowa to reach children with the gospel message. The Teeters invite children to attend InFaith Kids LIFE Club during the school year and InFaith Kids LIFE Adventure Week during the summer. They also minster to brain injury survivors and those who care for them. Pat and Don work with churches to more effectively reach the children in their town with VBS and other children’s ministries.

Local Reach

Pat and Don Teeter serve in north Iowa, a rural area comprised of many small communities. Residents of this area are hard working and family-oriented, and many work in the farming and agricultural industry. Some towns are more diverse than others, with a growing number of Hispanic families.

While there are several churches in the towns scattered throughout the area, many claim low attendance on Sundays. There seems to be a particular need for children’s ministries through the church, as well as positive and affirming activities for children to participate in throughout the week.

The Teeters started offering online Kids LIFE Club and assisting parents with Bible lessons and resources to teach their children at home.

After seeing the need for children’s ministry outreach, the Teeters began traveling to various towns throughout north Iowa to reach children with the gospel message. Pat’s heart is for children who have not had the opportunity to hear the gospel. She also desires to train children’s ministry workers to give a clear gospel message, teach Bible lessons relevant to children, and encourage workers in their Christian service.

Club ministries take place in parks, backyards, fairgrounds, community centers, schools, and wherever else children will gather in each town. The Teeters invite children to attend InFaith Kids LIFE Club during the school year and InFaith Kids LIFE Adventure Week during the summer.  When not able to follow-up with in-person clubs, Pat makes Bible devotional bags to provide resources for children and encourage them to spend time each day with God. Pat and Don desire to work with churches to reach the children in their town with VBS and children's ministry.

The Teeters have served as InFaith associates since 2016.

Pat comes to InFaith with more than thirty years of experience in children’s ministry. She has an AA in Child Development/Early Childhood Education and is a graduate of Children’s Ministry Institute. Don has an AS in Electronics, multiple technical certificates, and is a licensed electrician. He does audio/visual as a profession and ministry, and volunteers in Pat’s ministry with technical support and help with clubs.

The Teeters have been married for thirty-eight years, and they have four grown children and five grandchildren. They enjoy living out the theme of their wedding – a lifetime of loving, sharing, and caring as they serve God together. Pat enjoys family times, cooking, scrapbooking, crafts, cross-stitching, and time with friends.
