- My Self
Colleen Cole serves in south central Nebraska, an area teeming with small, rural towns. Most residents are lower- and middle-class socioeconomically, with a large unchurched population. The most important need in the community right now is for residents to realize their need for Christ, and the love and hope that can only be found in Him. The area also needs Christian leaders and workers to show residents that someone cares and is willing to mentor and disciple them in their spiritual walk.
After seeing the need in her community, Colleen and her husband, Ralph, began several different ministries to share the love of Christ with those around them. They lead many children’s ministries, including after-school Bible clubs, study groups, Vacation Bible Schools, and Bible sports camps. Colleen helps local churches find good music and teaching material to use in reaching local children.
In addition to children’s ministries, Colleen serves in several ladies’ Bible studies. With Ralph, she visits the sick as a hospice volunteer and encourages local pastors who are struggling in small, rural churches.
Colleen has served as InFaith field staff since 1967.
