- My Reach
Emily Hoffman is serving in several roles at Camp WeWoSeJe (short for “We Would See Jesus”) and her church, which is closely connected with the camp. The daughter of InFaith missionaries, Emily is no stranger to reaching the unreached in communities across the United States. Camp WeWoSeJe serves a poor area of Illinois, but that doesn’t stop it from sharing the gospel with the community. “One of the coolest parts of this camping ministry is the fact that it doesn’t turn any campers away,” Emily explains. “The camp has scholarships for families who can’t afford to send their kids, allowing us to reach even more families with the gospel message.”
This summer, Emily is part of the camp leadership team, mentoring staff leaders and “staff-in-training.” She chooses a curriculum to teach during each week of camp, and cares for twelve girls as a staff leader. She also helps with registration, provides transportation for campers, leads worship, lifeguards, and runs the snack shack as needed.
