Frank & Rachel Baur

- Our Self
Frank and Rachel serve in a small rural town of Shiawassee County, Michigan. Shiawassee County is a farming area with a wide range of economic statuses. Many of the older people came to the area to work for GM years ago and are more middle class than the average household. There are a lot of churchgoers but few Christ-followers.
With a population of around 68,000, there are also many surrounding counties the Baurs reach out to as well. They have seen many people in their area who attended church when they were younger but never found themselves as part of the body.
A major need in the area is for the lost to recognize their personal need for a relationship with Christ. Another need is for those who identify with Christ to die to themselves and truly live for Christ.
Frank and Rachel's ministry meets the needs of the community in presenting the gospel to kids who otherwise would not be in a church. Frank and Rachel also disciple married couples to help them recognize how the gospel should be represented in their marriage and household.
The Baurs see a great need for the personalization of salvation offered by Christ and to understand what our mission is as the Body of Christ.
Frank and Rachel became approved candidates with InFaith in 2022.
Frank and Rachel both attended New Tribes Bible Institute where they received Associate Degrees in Biblical Studies with an emphasis in Missions. Frank continued on to take classes through Luther Rice and completed his bachelor’s degree in Religion with an emphasis on Ministry. Rachel has continued to take classes while homeschooling their children and looks to complete her bachelor’s degree in Biblical Counseling in the next couple of years.
