Marissa Bostick serves in North Dallas. She reaches out to refugee families from all over the world who are now living in the United States. The families she serves come from a great variety of backgrounds.
This community needs someone to come alongside them during this period of transition. This can be done by helping youth with academic success, creating a sense of community and fellowship, as well as by helping them to find God and providing spiritual guidance. Marissa wants to help families be successful and thrive.
After seeing the need in her community, Marissa began to work with refugee youth and families in the Dallas area. The ministry provides a wide variety of programs for those in the refugee community; from tutoring Math and English to providing ESL classes for adults who cannot read or write in English. They also have a soccer league that meets year around and holds a tournament during the summer. Additionally, there’s a fellowship night with the youth every week and a kid’s club year-round, as well as Vacation Bible School during the summer.
Marissa Bostick became an approved candidate with InFaith in 2018.
Marissa attended Lubbock Christian University where she earned a degree in English and Missions. At college, she met her wonderful husband, Barret. They were married shortly after graduation. Together they moved to Austin and spent a year working with homeless teens and young adults. They moved to Dallas after Barret got a new job. While searching for a ministry to become involved with, Marissa found InFaith and was connected with the refugee ministry in Dallas.
