Local Reach

Most people in the Romans’ local would consider themselves “believers”, but many in the church lack a heart that reflects this conviction. Racial reconciliation is of huge importance in their town. There is a great need for a place for young people to participate in things larger than themselves.

The Romans mainly reach rural South Carolina. The town is comprised of around 2,200 people and 6,500 in the surrounding area. They serve in a diverse community where they see a great need to create a true family and community that reflects an Acts 2 church.

Pete Roman has been field staff with InFaith since 2022.

Pete and his wife Renee have been married for almost 20 years. They have 3 wonderful daughters: Leora (15) Sofi (11), and Luci (7). They have been church planting bi-vocationally in St. George for 5 years. Prior to church planting, the Romans were missionaries in Bulgaria for 7 years. They have always had a heart for youth/young adults and people on the fringes. They have partnered with InFaith because of the value they place on unique urban and rural ministries.
