Thinking of Starting Your Own Ministry?
Marissa started her pregnancy and infant loss ministry after struggling to find resources for herself when she and her husband experienced the stillborn birth of their first child. Larry and Vonnie started in full-time ministry—using puppets, Christ-centered music, and pulpit supply to present the truth found in God’s Word—40 years after feeling called to it and graduating from Bible college. Judy began her equine ministry to reach local kids by pairing them with mentors as they interact with horses after several years of working in similar ministries.

Reach Local. Change Lives.
So, what’s with the kite? We use the kite as a metaphor for reaching local because it’s such a local symbol, tethered to a specific set of hands—just as our field staff are rooted and grounded in their local communities. They respond to needs around them by using the gifts and abilities God has given them. Through their ministries, they lift Christ up and the wind of the Holy Spirit propels what they do and results in changed lives. Learn more: kite video.
What about you? What are you doing to serve your local area? Post about it on social media with the hashtag #flyyourkite and be sure to tag us @InFaithmission so we can see how God is using you in your local community.
