Denney serves in Delray Beach, home to a vibrant Haitian community. While some families have lived there for generations, many are newly arrived immigrants to Florida. Within these households, grandparents often speak no English, parents speak limited English, and children are fully fluent. Because Denney speaks Creole and grew up immersed in Haitian culture, he is uniquely equipped to connect with the kids we serve through Kids for Christ South Florida.
Many parents in this community work two or three jobs to provide for their families, often leaving their children at home alone. This can lead to loneliness and, at times, seeking negative attention through mischief. Kids for Christ seeks to step into that gap—sharing the gospel, introducing children to Jesus, and encouraging them to grow in lasting faith.
In 2025, Denney became a missionary candidate with InFaith. A first-generation Haitian American, he is the proud son of Suzette Guillaume and Jean Prophete and has one brother and two sisters. After graduating from high school in 2023, he continued his education at Word of Life Bible Institute, where he graduated in 2025. Denney also served two summers as a camp counselor at Word of Life Bible Camp and took part in a mission trip to Caldas Novas, Brazil.
Having grown up under the ministry of Brian and Lucia Efferding—faithful InFaith missionaries—Denney felt called to join them in serving the next generation for Christ.
