Delray Beach has a large Haitian community. While some families have lived there for generations, others are new immigrants to Florida. Often, grandparents speak no English, parents speak limited English, and children are fluent in English. Being able to speak Creole is a wonderful asset Denny brings to Kids for Christ South Florida. Having grown up in Haitian culture, he can closely relate to the children he now serves.
Many of the parents are hardworking, holding down two or three jobs, which often leaves children at home alone. This reality can lead to loneliness, negative attention-seeking, and sometimes destructive behaviors. The goal of Kids for Christ is to share the gospel, introduce these children to Jesus, and motivate them to grow in faith everlasting.
Denny became a missionary candidate with InFaith in 2025. He graduated from high school in 2023 and from Word of Life Bible Institute in 2025. A first-generation Haitian American, he is the proud son of Suzette Guillaume and Jean Prophete, and the brother of one brother and two sisters.
In addition to working with Kids for Christ, Denny served as a camp counselor at Word of Life Bible Camp for two years and also participated in a mission trip to Caldas Novas, Brazil. Growing up under the ministry of Brian and Lucia Efferding, who serve with InFaith, Denny felt called to join them in gospel ministry.
