Brian and Lucia Efferding serve in Delray Beach, Florida, primarily in the inner city among Haitian, African American, and Hispanic families. They serve as executive directors of Kids for Christ (Florida), which involves supervising after-school Bible clubs and conducting Vacation Bible Schools, back-to-school rallies, and special evangelistic outings in area parks. Brian and Lucia seek to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to children ages four to eighteen and their families, many of whom would not feel comfortable entering a church. Many of the children who have grown up in the KIDS FOR CHRIST program are now adults and attend KIDS FOR CHRIST Young Adult Bible Studies.

Brian and Lucia Efferding serve in Delray Beach, Florida, primarily in the inner city among Haitian, African American, and Hispanic families. While urban redevelopment has taken place and many new apartment complexes have been built in the neighborhood, criminal activity is still commonplace and shootings sometimes occur.
The families that attend the Efferdings’ ministry are mostly Haitian and African American, with a few Hispanic families as well. They are predominately low-income families that are working hard to improve their economic situation. Most of the children in this community do not receive any religious instruction.
After three years in Houston ministering to the children of the Clayton Homes Housing Development, the Efferdings returned to their home in Florida to lead the Kids for Christ (Florida) ministry as executive directors. They supervise after-school Bible clubs and conduct Vacation Bible Schools, back-to-school rallies, and special evangelistic outings in area parks. Many of the children who have grown up in the KIDS FOR CHRIST program are now adults and attend KIDS FOR CHRIST Young Adult Bible Studies.
Brian and Lucia seek to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to children ages four to eighteen and their families, many of whom would not feel comfortable entering a church. It is the goal of their ministry to bring people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ so that they may glorify God in all they do.
The Efferdings have served as InFaith field staff since 1991.
Both Brian and Lucia are graduates of Dallas Theological Seminary, where Lucia was the first woman to be accepted into the STM program and Brian received his THM. They have two adult children who love the Lord and serve with Kids for Christ when their schedules permit. Jeremy is a professional tennis player, and Stephanie dances full-time with the Orlando Ballet and attends the University of Central Florida part-time.
