Addiction Recovery in Rice Lake, Wisconsin

(Email Doris Jasperson to get started helping in any of these ways.)

Food: Facilitate community and growth among participants at The Gap by supplying a meal for 12-14 people. If you live in the Rice Lake area, home-cooked meals are greatly appreciated. If you’re not nearby, you can purchase gift cards to Jimmy John’s, Subway, Old Southern Barbeque Smokehouse, or Domino’s Pizza.

Office Assistance: If you love to organize email lists and make mailing labels and deal with other administrative-related work, The Gap could use your help!

Social Media Manager: Lend your creativity and social media savvy to help this ministry.

Cleaning: Help maintain the welcoming, safe space that The Gap offers to those recovering from addiction, by watering the plants and cleaning the floors, kitchen, bathrooms, stairs, and front porch.

Supplies: With the number of people benefitting from programming at The Gap, they can always use paper supplies such as paper towels, paper plates, tissues, and toilet paper.

Participate: If you are currently in recovery and looking for support and accountability in the Rice Lake area, check out their Facebook page, or just show up:

  • Overcomers Outreach – Fridays at 10:00am (A Christ-centered 12-step group for those addicted to drugs and/or alcohol)
  • ReGroup – Wednesdays from 6:00pm-8:00pm (Support for those who are committed to building healthy relationships and need a safe place for spiritual and emotional growth. Supper at 6pm, followed by a short video, Bible study, and a lively discussion.)

Pray. We believe that one of the powerful ways that God lets us take part in His Kingdom is through prayer; it can heal, comfort, and change lives. Go to our Prayer Board for specific requests.

Give. Doris and Dave Jasperson serve in a support-raising role – which means they depend on generous donations to be able to do their ministry. Give to Doris and Dave Jasperson here.
