John C. & Carol Lewis

John and Carol Lewis serve in Wellfleet, Nebraska, a rural village of about eighty people on the edge of the sandhills. The area is mainly comprised of ranches and farms, and many who attend the Lewis’ church are ranchers.
After seeing the needs in their community, the Lewises began ministering to the area in several ways. John is pastor of Brownlee Community Church, serving on Sunday evenings, and leads an adult Sunday school class at another local church on Sunday mornings. The couple leads an adult Bible study on Mondays and a children's club on Wednesday nights.
For the past thirty years, the Lewises have served at Bethel Bible Camp during the summer. John is the executive director, and Carol is the head cook and pianist. The camp’s three daily Bible classes and missionary hour, interspersed with recreation times, focus on encouraging young people first to come to know Christ, and then to know Him better.
The Lewises have served as InFaith field staff since 1982.
Both John and Carol grew up in Christian homes and received Christ as Savior as young children. They both attended Christian colleges, and have been serving together as missionaries since 1967. They have four grown children and fifteen grandchildren.
