Mark & Mellissa Lay

- Our Self
Mark and Mellissa Lay serve in the rural Appalachian area of East Tennessee. They live in Campbell County a beautiful area of Norris Lake in the shadows of the Great Mountains, where they both grew up. Campbell County is mainly known for its lack of jobs, poor communities, and high drug use. Many children in the area suffer and do without even their basic needs being met.
After seeing the need in their community, the Lays began reaching out through various ministries. They are camp directors at Camp Galilee. Additionally, they share the love of Jesus through Bible released-time ministries, discipleship programs for teens, Bible studies, adult retreats, and summer camps for children.
The Lays' vision is to reach out to the hopeless and lead them into a life full of hope through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
The Lays have served as InFaith field staff since 2017.
Mark and Mellissa had been serving as missionaries through Camp Galilee for nearly five years as the facilities managers, before becoming candidates with InFaith and serving as camp directors. They are excited to be part of the InFaith family and a part of what God is doing through InFaith and their ministries at Camp Galilee. They are thankful to be called to serve God in the area they have always called home, and at the camp they have always loved. God is good!
