Matthew Madison (CH LTC) ARMY

Matt has served in the Army for 20 years, 17 years as an Army Chaplain. From 2007-2010, Matt served as Family Minister at North Phoenix Baptist Church, Phoenix, AZ. Matt writes, “I know that God called me into the ministry back when I was 19 and that He has enabled me to fulfill that calling in various ways. The Army has been a great fit for my calling, gifts, and abilities as well as the unique experiences I’ve had both in and out of uniform. But even when I take the uniform off, I know the call to ministry will endure, albeit in a different setting.” He is ordained with the Southern Baptist Church and received a M. Div. from Beeson Divinity School, Samford University, ThM – Ethics from Duke Divinity School, and a B.A. in Mass Communication from Auburn University. Matt has been married to Janet for 27 years. They have 2 children.
