Bill & Barbara Fair

Bill and Barbara Fair serve in Pagosa Springs, a rural resort community in southwestern Colorado. A beautiful mountain town, the area contains a large retirement population. There is a huge disparity between wealthy residents and those barely making it financially.

The religious mindset of the area is diverse. While there is a large Protestant and Catholic presence, there are also many outdoor enthusiasts with no church connections. In order to most effectively spread the gospel in this community, there is a great need for unity among believers. The area also lacks a strong ministry to reach local teens.

After seeing the need in their community, the Fairs began spending time one-on-one and in small groups sharing the gospel and mentoring those they came in contact with. Because they live in a resort town, they are able to spend time with many people in construction and the tourist industry. “We have a passion to reach and disciple people in rural America, and that’s exactly what we’re doing here in southwestern Colorado,” Bill explains.

Bill and Barbara serve in a number of ministries, including one-on-one discipleship, small group Bible studies, and Training of the Twelve retreats. Their goal is to encourage and counsel people to grow strong in their faith, and in turn reach out to the next generation. As they share their lives with members of the younger generation, Bill and Barbara keep their message focused on Christ, but adapt their approach to each individual’s life situation.

The Fairs have served as InFaith field staff since 1997.

Bill and Barbara have four children and eight grandchildren. Bill has degrees from Bible college and seminary.

The Fairs have taken part in a number of different ministries throughout their lives, including service as camp directors, interim pastor, pregnancy center director, and business owners. Bill has also worked in construction for many years. They joined InFaith after being influenced and encouraged by several InFaith missionaries.
