Bryon and Emelda Rush serve in southern Arizona, a vast area that covers rural, suburban, and urban communities. Mormonism is the main religion in many of these areas.
Bryon has been called to reach military members, a group he feels especially connected with as a retired Navy serviceman. His ministries to three bases in southern Arizona include Bible studies, mentorship, and one-on-one evangelism. “My experience of God’s mercy and grace while in the military makes me uniquely qualified to be used of the Lord to minister to the men and women serving our country,” Bryon explains.
Emelda leads a widows’ ministry from their home with the goal to show love to area widows through Bible studies, fellowship, and service. The Rushes both have hearts to reach the unsaved and disciple believers, sharing God’s love, grace, and mercy with everyone they come in contact with.
The Rushes have served as InFaith field staff since 2017.
Bryon and Emelda have four children and fourteen grandchildren. Bryon retired from the U.S. Navy after twenty years of service, and worked for sixteen years as a locomotive engineer for two railroads before being called to ministry with InFaith.
Bryon is the pastor of First Baptist Church of Willcox. Emelda teaches a children's Sunday School class as well as Junior Church.
