Dave and Lisa Carroll serve in Elliston, Montana, and several other rural agricultural and ranching communities. Residents of these areas are hard-working blue-collar types, and many are self-employed in construction or ranching and farming. Most are lower-middle to middle class in income and lifestyle. There is a mix of religious backgrounds among residents; some are Catholic, some have left the Mormon church, and many have never been in a church setting before.
This area needs to experience the love of Jesus through the ups and downs of life. Developing a real sense of community and genuine Christian fellowship is a priority, and helping residents work through interpersonal problems while maintaining fellowship and community takes a lot of time.
