David and Pam Dick serve in eastern Wyoming, using a variety of methods to reach those in out-of-the-way rural places. Some people live closer to one of the small towns, while others are more isolated, living 50+ miles away from the closest store with bread, gas, and other needs. The communities in eastern Wyoming are comprised of fiercely independent and hard working people. Many in this rural area who work as miners have recently lost their jobs, resulting in financial stress and sometimes the loss of homes.
While the area has remained fairly conservative, more and more people do not see a need for God or religion. David and Pam have seen instances of “belief” in God, but there is a lack of personal relationships with the Savior. The greatest spiritual need is for the truth of the gospel to be preached in love through action and outreach.
