This verse has deeply shaped Finley's heart for ministry and reflects the way he hopes to serve this summer. He desires to grow in compassion for the children, teens, adults, and senior adults God brings into his path. He has already been serving most Tuesdays at the Boys and Girls Club in East Dallas, where the children have begun to see him as a trusted shepherd and mentor in their lives.
This summer, Finley will serve at least thirty days (approximately six hours each day) through several ministry opportunities, including:
- Kids for Christ – East Dallas Boys and Girls Club (Tuesdays, year-round)
- Rose Fellowship Senior Adult Bible Study & Bingo (Tuesdays)
- STAR Dallas – Mission Training and Outreaches (June 1–3)
- Young Life Disability Camp – Clearwater Cove, NC (June 7–13)
- Vacation Bible School – Lake Ridge Bible Church (June)
- Camp Rose Week #1 & #2 – Bible classes, literacy classes, and event support (July 6–9 and July 13–16)
- Love Is Refugee Ministry – VBS Celebrations (Tuesdays beginning in July)
- Friendship building with Fair Park Young Life Capernaum (disability ministry)
He is prayerfully inviting others to partner with him in these ministry opportunities in two important ways.
First, through prayer. He has seen firsthand the powerful impact of prayer and knows this summer of missions will depend on faithful prayer support.
Second, through financial support. His goal is to raise $1,000 to help make this summer of ministry possible. This will be his first job, and he is already working diligently to prepare for the opportunities ahead.
