Janette Schoenhals

Janette Schoenhals serves in Tyrone, and Guymon, all rural communities in the Oklahoma panhandle. They are small communities and surrounded by farmland. The majority of residents in these communities are Hispanic; however, Guymon has a vast diversity of immigrants.

There is a great need in this area for outreaches to children and youth.

After seeing the need in her communities, Janette felt the call to begin a ministry that focused on the area’s children and youth. She has established children and youth programs at local churches in each community. Her goal is to provide opportunities for children to learn and grow spiritually, while also reaching family units as a whole.

Janette has served as InFaith field staff since August 2017.

Janette grew up in the Oklahoma panhandle on a farm where she fell in love with the outdoors and hard work. As a junior in high school, she felt the call to ministry. She attended Oklahoma Baptist University, and graduated in 2015 with a degree in Children’s Ministry and a minor in Church Recreation.

In 2019, Janette was married to Dillon Schoenhals. He works for Oklahoma Panhandle State University as the Director of Institutional Research. He also helps with the ministry as his schedule allows.

Since having three young children, Janette has moved to part-time status. She continues to look for opportunities to serve that allow her to include Reed, Summer, and Sparrow.
