Area Ministry Children/Youth Discipleship Seniors Young Adult

Jim and Teri Wilson serve in Kearney, Nebraska, as InFaith field staff. Their ministry centers on building godly relationships and helping people grow in their faith as they Press On along the road of life.

Local Reach

Jim and Teri Wilson serve in Kearney, Nebraska, a suburban area with a population of approximately 30,000. Home of the University of Nebraska at Kearney, the area is surrounded by farming communities and claims a low crime rate. Lincoln, the state capitol, is two hours from Kearney.

In this area, the greatest need was a safe and positive place for kids and youth to hang out and have fun, while also being exposed to the message of hope found in the gospel. They lead adult Bible studies, maintain connections with young adults who were part of their earlier ministry, and continue to invest in discipleship and evangelistic opportunities. Much of their time is also spent visiting with shut-ins and offering encouragement and spiritual support, with a readiness to follow wherever God opens new doors for ministry.

Jim and Teri became Christians in 1982 and soon began serving in their local church, as well as at a youth detention center where they led Bible studies and Prison Fellowship seminars for fifteen years. In 1996, at a Promise Keepers event in Denver, Colorado, Jim felt God’s call into full-time ministry.

They joined InFaith as field staff in 1999 and continue to faithfully serve in their community, sharing the hope of the gospel and encouraging others to Press On in their walk with Christ. The Wilsons have three grown children.
