Louis and Carrie believe Camp Hope can serve as a bridge between local churches and children and families who may otherwise have little or no connection to Christian community.
Rather than allowing those relationships to end when camp is over, they are intentionally developing partnerships with local Bible-believing churches whose members can serve as Kingdom Buddies, volunteers, mentors, and ministry partners.
Their hope is that relationships beginning through Camp Hope will continue long after everyone comes down the mountain—within churches, homes, small groups, neighborhoods, and everyday life.
We believe God is calling us to come alongside local churches, build meaningful partnerships, and encourage and equip believers as they step into ministry and build relationships with children and families in their own communities.
Ephesians 4:11–12 has become an important picture of this calling for Louis and Carrie—coming alongside the Body of Christ, encouraging and equipping believers for ministry, and creating opportunities for more people to use the gifts God has given them to reach others with the Gospel.
Their missionary work includes developing relationships with pastors and churches, creating ministry partnerships, training Kingdom Buddies and volunteers, strengthening Camp Hope’s ministry framework, preparing believers to serve children and families, and encouraging continued discipleship after camp.
The goal is not simply to bring more children to camp.
It is to help connect children and families with followers of Jesus who can continue walking with them long after camp ends.
Camp Hope can help open the door.
The local church provides the Christian community.
Jesus is the Hope.
Louis and Carrie have served as InFaith field staff since 2020. Both are graduates of the Vineyard Leadership Institute and share a passion for the outdoors, serving children and families, strengthening the local Church, and sharing the Good News of Jesus.
Through prayer and financial partnership, supporters help make it possible for Louis and Carrie to devote their lives to building these relationships, developing ministry partnerships, encouraging believers to step into ministry, and helping more children and families encounter the hope of Jesus.
