Mitch and Tami McEfee serve in Georgetown, California, a rural area on the Mother Lode Field. The area contains small towns, many of which are in wooded areas. The need to encourage kids to live for Christ instead of themselves has become prominent in the hearts of the McEfees.
Local Reach
After seeing the need in their community, the McEfees began ministering to local kids as directors of Forward Bible Camp. “There are a large number of children from broken homes and desperate situations who need to know Christ,” explains Mitch. The camp allows hundreds of kids to “meet God in the mountains,” introducing them to Jesus by illustrating what it looks like to live for Him.
During the winter, Mitch and Tami lead a seniors’ Bible study at a retirement home, promote camping ministry, ad prepare for the coming season. They love every minute of sharing their lives with the people around them, and look forward to what God has in store for them next.
The McEfees have served as InFaith field staff since 2000.
Mitch is a pastor and contractor who loves camp and seeing kids come to faith in Christ through Christian camping.
For the majority of their time in ministry, God has called Mitch and Tami to provide a place apart from the cares and pressures of everyday life where InFaith field staff and volunteers can connect with children and youth, allowing them to focus on Christ while participating in fun and exciting activities.
