Paul and Virginia Frey serve in the Tomah and Sparta area school districts in Wisconsin. Much of the area is wooded, with swamps north of town and hilly “kettle moraine” south of town. The community is largely comprised of cranberry and dairy farms.
There is a large military presence in the community, and those who are not farmers or factory workers are often in some type of military career. The area has strong German and Norwegian roots, which commands a strong Catholic and Lutheran affiliation.
After seeing the need in their community, the Freys began serving the local churches and youth through a number of ministries. The Freys have served as InFaith field staff since 2001.
Paul and Virginia have been married for twenty-eight years, and have six children. Paul has a youth ministry degree from Calvary Bible College, and more than fifteen years experience in camping ministries.
