Local Reach
Beattyville is an economically challenged area. Of those who have a religious background, most are Protestant though there is a Catholic church. Beattyville is a classic American small town, and the Judds are thrilled to call it home! The area is a paradise for outdoorsmen—known for hiking and rock climbing.
As with much of the Appalachian region, the spiritual and physical needs in the area are great, despite much of the population having heard the gospel. Substance abuse is fairly common, and as Sam says, “Folks need the high that only Christ can bring!”
Sam and Ronni serve two area churches: he is an Associate Pastor for New Prospect Baptist Church in Clay County, and they co-lead the youth group at Ida May Bible Church in Beattyville. Their passion is to help people embrace Jesus wholeheartedly through Bible teaching and music ministry.
Sam and Ronni Judd have been candidates with InFaith since 2023. They serve faithfully in their community and beyond, and are excited to experience how the Lord will use them in the years to come.
