Scott and Gina Menez serve as area missionaries in Southwestern Idaho and Southeastern Oregon in the high desert country. In Acts 1:8, our Lord commands His disciples to take the unashamed gospel “to Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.” That command has been passed down from disciple to disciple throughout the church age. Scott and Gina often think of “the remotest part of the earth” as the jungles of the Philippines (they have been there too), but there are still many remote areas within the United States that have very little gospel witness and very few Christ-exalting, Word-saturated established churches, or Bible studies. Scott and Gina are committed to bringing the good news of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to these remote areas.

Throughout the last 40 years of Scott and Gina’s ministry, they have been prepared to accurately handle God's Word while exalting a Christ-centered biblical theology. Their aim is to evangelize the lost and encourage and teach the saved to “Love Christ, Love His Word, and Love His people.”
Southwestern Idaho and Southeastern Oregon are predominantly rural areas where farming and ranching are integral to life. There are a few incorporated towns with small ranches that require an extensive amount of travel to reach them. Scott is the pastor of various small churches that struggle to maintain enough people to support a full-time pastor. Yet, there is a great need for teaching, discipleship, and shepherding in these little high desert places of worship. This means that Scott and Gina have a circuit riding ministry that moves throughout their mission field as they encourage and shepherd people in the remotest part of the earth.
God has not only given Scott and Gina a great desire for these people who live in remote places, but He also has allowed them to learn their way of life, understanding their daily pressures of raising America's food supply in a growing hostile climate against the farming and cattle industry. This often opens opportunities to share the truth of God's Word with those throughout this vast ministry field.
Scott and Gina continually pray for churches and individuals to partner with us in prayer and financial support to reach these remote regions with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We invite you to consider joining us in this vital ministry by clicking the support button below.
Each Monday Scott sends out an e-mail that encourages people in God's Word and provides updates on the ministry here in Southwestern Idaho and Southeastern Oregon. To stay connected with Scott and his ministry endeavors, follow his blog, Flat Rabbit Ministry.
Scott began serving alongside AMF (American Missionary Fellowship) missionaries at 19, and, along with Gina, officially joined AMF in 1996, serving until 2003. They returned to the mission field on March 26, 2024.
Pastor Scott, born and raised in Walnut Creek, California, became a Christian at a young age. He began his ministry at 19 in northern California, where he met his wife, Gina. Scott and Gina served under their mentor, Jerry Boyle, for many years until they were sent out to plant churches on their own. Scott became affectionately known as “The Cowboy Preacher,” as he used ranching and cowboying to offset their income while serving as a church-planter. For 20 years, he was involved in church planting in the rural parts of northern California, Northwestern Nevada, and Southeastern Oregon. Then, for the next 20 years, Scott went on to serve as Teaching Pastor at Grace Bible Church of Hollister, California, and Riverbend Community Church of Ormond Beach, Florida.
Scott and Gina have been married for 36 years and have 4 sons, 2 daughters-in-law, three grandsons and one granddaughter.
Scott says this about his passion for ministry: May God bless you and keep you and cause His face to shine upon you, may you continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ as we all learn by the mercies of God to “Love Christ, Love His Word, and Love His people.”
