Monica L. Rikli

MANAGER OF SPIRITUAL CARE AT CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL, CO Monica serves as the Manager of Spiritual Care at Children’s Hospital in Colorado Springs, CO. Previously, she served as an ICU staff chaplain at UC Health in Colorado Springs, CO. She has a MA from Denver Seminary in Counseling Ministries and Spiritual Formation, is ordained and Board Certified by the Association of Professional Chaplains (APC) along with CM Certification. As a Hospital chaplain, Monica writes, “ I am called to go… as the hands and feet of Jesus, to people who are hurting, marginalized, and sick. To bring them the living, breathing, Word of God. I meet people often on the worst day of their life. I walk beside them and help remind them of where their hope and strength come from. I remind them to eat and sleep, and I help them be the voice of their loved ones who cannot talk. I am honored to walk along with our amazing medical staff as they provide great medical attention to our patients. I sit, or stand, or walk, with them as they grieve their own losses. I like crisis and trauma support. I like knowing that I am right where Jesus wants me to be for this moment. I seek to honor and glorify Him in every way, every day. I am not at all a perfect person, or perfect Christian, but I promised God that where He leads, I will follow, and when He asks, “Who will go?” I say, “I will go”.”
