Samuel Marquard (CPT) ARMY CHAPLAIN CANDIDATE

(CPT) Samuel Marquard received accession as an Army Chaplain Candidate in February 2023. Currently, he is serving Army Active Duty as a Logistics Officer and stationed at Ft Riley, KS. He and his wife attend the Evangelical Free Church, Manhattan, KS. He graduated from Lancaster Bible College (Intercultural Studies) and will begin an M. Div. degree at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Samuel writes, “This struggle of love, to go deeper to the root of my soldier’s issues, to serve and love the soldiers I knew and know in a new way, are what propel me to apply to the Army Chaplaincy Candidate Program. I want to share with my soldiers the power of the Gospel of Christ and the ramifications of knowing Him.”
