Unique E. McKibbens

Unique serves as a staff Chaplain at Central Virginia VA Medical Center. She has an M.Div. from Virginia Union University and a Bachelor of Biblical Studies from the ROC School of Urban Ministry. She conducted her CPE residency and ACPE Certified Educator Program at McGuire VA Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia and is working towards board certification. She is involved in her church in youth and pastoral ministry and identifies chaplaincy as her call and dream. She writes: “Chaplaincy is the ministry of presence. I want to be the person who sits in the pain.” She is married to Terry, who is a retired Navy Veteran.
