We are seeking a dedicated leader to provide spiritual care and outreach to individuals in county jails and the Minnesota Security Hospital. Our mission is to bring hope and transformation to inmates and clients through compassionate service and the message of faith.
This ministry serves communities in southern Minnesota, from Mankato (population 60,000) to smaller towns like St. Peter (12,000) and St. James (5,000). The region consists of working-class communities in both rural and suburban settings

The Director position would lead, oversee, and direct a group of volunteers involved in correctional ministries in jails and in a state security hospital. The director would seek to expand and grow this ministry's outreach.
- Provide spiritual care through counseling, visitation, and discipleship.
- Engage in evangelism and build relationships within the ministry.
- Support and develop ministry efforts led by others.
- Organize events and foster a welcoming, gospel-centered environment.
- Teach, network, and coordinate outreach efforts in a rural setting.
- Develop community outreach programs to meet specific local needs.
- Shepherd individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Raise financial support, engage with donors, and communicate ministry vision.
- Build relationships with community partners, correctional staff, and other organizations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a deep passion for ministering to individuals in the jail system. The following qualifications are essential for success in this role:
- A heart for community, jail, and hospital ministry.
- Strong leadership skills in chaplaincy and outreach.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- The ability to inspire and mobilize others.
- A willingness to raise financial support for the ministry.
Education & Experience
Must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Bible/Theology, as well as a proven record of successful ministry experience within a local church body or other church/para-church ministry organization.
