Mission Minute | Spring 2025

A quarterly glimpse into how God is moving through InFaith missionaries across the U.S.

Freedom, Healing, and a Full Night’s Sleep

In Colorado, Bill and Mary Glidden are watching the power of God’s truth transform hearts. Ten women recently completed the Freedom in Christ Bible study, with one sharing how she finally confessed a long-buried truth and embraced Christ’s forgiveness. Another, who hadn’t slept more than five hours in years, now sleeps through the night. And one woman, formerly afraid of death, found peace in receiving eternal life through Christ. As the men’s group begins the same study, Bill asks for prayer that these foundational truths take deep root. In addition to Bible study, Bill now leads morning devotions at the VA Living Center, where worship songs continue to echo God’s Word. One veteran, who once seemed near death, now greets Bill with a peaceful smile, reassured of salvation and heaven.

A Free Gift Walks Out the Door

At the One Less Orphan Benefit Shop (owned by Dennis and Bethany Tilzey, Larry and Vonnie’s kids!) in rural Washington, Larry and Vonnie Pratt placed a brand-new military Bible, donated with a handwritten message, on the front counter with other free items. At closing time, a young man wandered in. He picked up the Bible, read the message on the box aloud: “Free…by grace, you are saved,” and quietly took it with him. He said little else but left with a warm drink and the Word of God in his hands. Pray with the Tilzeys and Pratts that this quiet moment becomes a turning point in his life.

The Tilzey's ministry is focused on One Less Orphan, which uses a retail store model to reach the lost in their community.

From Doubt to Peace in Southeast Idaho

Pastor Kris Cain, serving in rural Idaho, recently met with a man named Nathan, burdened by the weight of religious performance. “How do I know I’ve done enough to be saved?” he asked. Kris gently opened the Bible and explained the truth: that no one earns salvation, it’s a gift of grace through faith in Jesus. Weeks later, Nathan called back, joyfully reporting, “I feel at peace and truly happy!” He now rests in the finished work of Christ. Kris asks for continued prayers as he pursues new ministry opportunities, including possible outreach to those affected by sex trafficking.

New Life in the Desert

In New Mexico, Debbie Woodard is seeing children and families transformed by the Gospel through InFaith Bible Clubs. At Midway Elementary, four children recently gave their lives to Christ, and their families are beginning to engage with the Bible at home. A grandmother shared how her granddaughter treasures her personalized Bible and reads it as she cares for her younger siblings. At the Socorro Public Library club, a van-full of kids and even curious adults are hearing the Good News weekly. One boy professed faith in Jesus, and Debbie asks for prayer that his young heart grows strong in the Word. Debbie also partners with others to distribute Bibles and tracts to homeless communities, Native children, and anyone hungry for hope.

Thank you for your prayers and support. You are part of these moments! Of peace found, faith discovered, and lives changed by the love of Jesus.
