The Pastor must agree with and abide by the WCBC Statement of Faith, Statement on Marriage, Gender and Sexuality, and Code of Christian Conduct and be willing to work within the framework of the WCBC Constitution.  

  • Teach, network, and organize in a small rural setting. 
  • Help develop community outreach ministries to meet specific needs in our town and beyond. 
  • Ability to shepherd a congregation with diverse denominational backgrounds. 
  • Raise support, meet donors and churches. 
  • A Missionary/Pastor who will work full-time at church and in the community. 
  • Must be in good health and able to work in various conditions.  
  • Must have a general understanding about building and property maintenance planning and scheduling. 
  • Potential Future Responsibility: Help develop community outreach ministries to meet specific needs in our town and beyond. 
Responsibilities

We’re looking for a bi-vocational / missionary-pastor, man of faith and of the Word, who is called to serve as a Preacher, Teacher and Shepherd of the local flock (Jn. 21:17; Acts 20:28-32; 1 Pet. 5:1-3). The Pastor’s role will require a careful balance of personal prayer, Bible study, and family life, while also dedicating time to: 

  • Preaching and teaching at church gatherings. 
  • Providing pastoral care, including counseling, visitation, and discipleship. 
  • Overseeing church administration, board meetings, and volunteer recruitment. 
  • Evangelism and building relationships within the Williams community. 
  • Developing and supporting community outreach ministries. 
  • Facilitating church events and fostering a welcoming, gospel-centered environment. 
  • Supporting maintenance planning for the church building and property. 
Qualifications
  • Someone who demonstrates the character and traits of a humble servant, like Jesus, and can model for others to replicate. 
  • A love for the church community, rural ministry, and youth ministry. 
  • Must be a man who fulfills the qualifications of elder/overseer/pastor as listed in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9. Preferably have the spiritual gifts of preaching, teaching, hospitality, and service. 
  • Ability to raise support 

Education & Experience 

Must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Bible/Theology, as well as have a proven record of successful ministry experience within a local church body or other church/para-church ministry organization.
